Your Prayer Pact

I can't tell you how many times I have started a prayer pact with God. Although I pray daily and throughout the day for that matter giving praise, thanks and making request to God, I am a failure at consistency. I believe that consistency is what God wants from me. I find that when I am consistent in my prayer time that my faith is stronger. I see things more clearly. I understand why situations in life occur as they do.

What are you praying for today? A better question might be 'are you praying?' Prayer is very powerful. More so than any other form of visualization or persuasion. Prayer is your direct line to God, and an essential part of living a fulfilled Christ-like life. Jesus tells us in Mark 11:24 that if you pray for anything, believing that you have received it, it will be yours. We are told in Colossians 4:2 to devote yourself to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Further more we are told in James 5:13-16 that if you suffer hardships? You should pray. If you are happy, you should sing praises. When you are sick you should ask an elder of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
